About Us

At Changing Minds Child and Family Services (CMCAFS), we aim to support people, organisations and wider systems collaboratively and compassionately through creative psychological practice.

About the CMCAFS Method

What Do We Provide?

We provide specialist psychological services for children, young people, families, and teams and organisations who support them. This involves supporting our partner organisations to provide a range of innovative services which strive to be truly psychologically informed, attachment and trauma-responsive, and meaningfully helpful.

We work with senior leaders and practitioners from various services across health, education and social care to incorporate systemic psychological thinking and attachment/trauma-responsive practice into their organisations.

As a service, we are keen to work closely with universities and research teams to evaluate what we do, pilot new services, and design new, innovative provisions based upon evidence- informed practice.

We also recognise the importance of strengthening connection, reflection and looking after each other when working with young people, families and organisations who may be dealing with the impact of high levels of distress and trauma.

About the CMCAFS Team

Who Are We?

We are a team of Applied Psychologists who pride ourselves in providing high quality, innovative, meaningful work. We workclosely with a range of organisations, both at a regional andnational level, including children’s charities, Local Authorities,fostering and adoption support services, educational settings and residential care, to provide psychological consultation and support.

Our Spaces

Our offices, therapy and meeting/training rooms are based at 19 Wilson Patten, in central Warrington.
